The industry has no clear career path, maintaining and developing new networks is vital but so is educating the next generation of filmmakers of the issues, pitfalls and obstacles, opportunities and possibilities available so that they can benefit from YOUR own experiences.
Whether you make films part time in your shed or you’ve just landed in Los Angeles you have a story to tell, a part to play, a difference to make.

The blog is managed by Workshop Productions, an innovative production company based at The Storey Creative Industries Centre in the North West of England. Their creative team of filmmakers have broken in the hard way and offers others the opportunity to join them. They believe that filmmaking needs to be stimulated and nurtured at a grass roots level through the practical experience of the challenging and dynamic environment that is a film set.
